24 Dec 2024

Logan met with Professor John Nilsson-Wright, a leading scholar of Japanese politics.

John Nilsson-Wright is the Fuji Bank University Associate Professor in Modern Japanese Politics and International Relations and a Fellow of Darwin College, University of Cambridge.

John, a Fellow of Darwin College, University of Cambridge, was visiting Northeast Asia when the recent political events unfolded in South Korea where martial law was declared.

Due to his expertise in the politics of the region he featured extensively in global coverage of martial law being briefly declared and then terminated.

Logan, an expert in regional security, diplomacy, and China-related issues, has previously spoken at several events at the University of Cambridge, including the Centre for Geopolitics.

On a lighter note, both men expressed excitement about the return of Sumo wrestling to London in 2025.
