Discussion on UK-Japan 21st Century Group
On arriving in Tokyo, Japan Mark was honoured to be hosted by Mr Hirohide Hirai-san.
Hirai-san serves as Vice President & Executive Officer, as well as being the Advisor to the Chief Executive Officer at Hitachi.
Before joining Hitachi, Hirai-san had a distinguished career within the Japanese government, previously enjoying roles as Vice Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI), as well as Director General for Industry Policy Bureau.
Mark and Hirai-san discussed progress in the UK-Japan commercial and political relationship since they last met on the side lines of the UK-Japan 21st Century Group held in Odawara earlier in 2024.
