Mark Logan, former MP, meets with Japanese Minister (Economic) Mr Kawakami

Former Member of Parliament, Mark Logan meets with Economic Minister from the Japanese Embassy Mr Kyoichiro Kawakami

Mr Kawakami and Mark have worked closely in deepening the economic ties between the UK and Japan.


Mr Kawakami and Mark discussed current trends in UK-Japan relations and the many opportunities for British firms to expand their footprint in Japan. Mark also welcomed some of the pre-existing exchanges between the UK and Japan.


In December 2023 Mr Logan hosted a large business delegation in the House of Commons in his role as Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Japan. The event was spearheaded by Blick Rothenberg as it seeks to further it’s Japanese business links.


In June 2024 Mark helped lead on the Baker McKenzie official launch of the leading law firms UK-Japan Connect. At the event held in the House of Lords, the (at that time) Minister for Investment Lord Johnson spoke to a senior gathering of business figures involved in UK-Japan commercial ties.
