Mark Logan delivered a keynote speech today in Hangzhou as part of the 3rd Global Digital Trade Expo.
As an advisor to OxValue.Ai Mark was able to explain what the current market environment is like in the U.K. and several other key markets.
The Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) is China's only national-level international professional exhibition under the theme of digital trade.
During his remarks, all in Mandarin Chinese, Mark said:
"At the heart of every great innovation is not just an idea but the resources to bring that idea to life. Startups and SMEs are often the engines of breakthrough technologies, but they face a significant hurdle—lack of funding."
And in relation to his home country - the U.K. - Mark shared:
"The UK has been a pioneer in supporting innovation through financial mechanisms like Invest Tech. These are platforms that match innovators with investors who understand the potential of ground-breaking technologies."
Logan has decades of experiencing bridging the commercial and cultural gaps between Asia and western markets, and in his most recent role as an MP was an elected Member of the Science & Technology Select Committee.
The Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Centre is colossal, there are eight pavilions and ten exhibition halls. The exhibition area is 155,000 square metres.
