Former Member of Parliament Mark Logan met with Nigerian politician Mubarak Ahmad Atijjani to discuss UK-Nigeria bilateral relations and both nations' growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
The meeting also covered broader global affairs, reflecting the deepening diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Logan served as the MP for Bolton North East from 2019 to 2024. A former British Foreign Office employee in the Asia Pacific, he is a fluent Mandarin speaker and one of the UK's leading experts on Chinese politics and UK-China relations. During his parliamentary career, he chaired the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Afghanistan and served as Vice Chair of APPGs on China, Japan, and the British Council.
The discussion highlighted shared interests in strengthening economic and diplomatic cooperation between the UK and Nigeria on the world stage.
